Komga Youth Hub is a community-based social innovation organisation serving Komga and surrounding communities in the Amathole District of the Eastern Cape. We bring essential services together under one roof, creating a safe and supportive environment where young people can develop practical skills, receive guidance and connect with opportunities in education, employment and entrepreneurship.
Our programmes respond to immediate community needs while creating pathways towards learning, employment and self-reliance.
Provides nutritious meals, food garden activities, homework assistance, psychosocial support and community awareness initiatives for vulnerable children, young people and households.
Supports young people who are not in education, employment or training through career guidance, CV assistance, job applications, work-readiness training and entrepreneurship development.
Develops essential computer and digital skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, internet navigation and online communication, helping participants prepare for further learning and employment.
Many young people in Komga face unemployment, interrupted education, poverty and limited access to skills-development opportunities. These challenges can prevent them from participating fully in the economy and reaching their potential. Komga Youth Hub provides coordinated support that addresses immediate needs while helping participants build confidence, practical skills and clearer pathways towards education, employment and self-reliance.
